Daus’s "Harvest Moon" crystal pin did not fail. Not only does the
moon remind me a bit of the Crescent Hotel but my fella loves it; and, this is
his perfect owl: not too realistic and not too whimsical. The one that I
purchased from HSN appears much more yellow compared to the one
posted on her website, which appears to include more of a blue stone. It
may just be the lighting. The brooch is also larger than I had thought. Of course, I have no sense of dimensions :p
Regardless, I’m thrilled. The Heidi Daus Halloween
collection (this actually appears to be part of a Fall collection) is one of
the purchases I look forward to each Halloween. If this is just a small taste, I cannot wait to see her 2016 Halloween collection!
I agree with your fella, that's the right kind of owl. What a pretty piece! And FYI: your hair looks blue in that light ... and I like the blue on you!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I just dyed my hair this weekend and use a blue/black dye. In the sun (and over my grey), it always looks a bit bluish although that doesn't always translate in photos.
