I follow the blog ShellHawk’s Nest . Described as “The Mistress of Mayhem/ShellHawk,” she reveals that she “double-majored in Home Economics and Spell-Casting/Potions.”

It feels like mere days ago that she posted some new items on her Etsy page. I was immediately smitten with one handmade ceramic jack-o-lantern which shines a bat on the wall. My order from ShellHawksCreations arrived just yesterday and I was thrilled to try it out.

His lid is hand-cut just like a real jack-o-lantern.

I’ve painted a jack-o-lantern before but nowhere near the detail of this one. The inside has layers of yellows that really make him beam with a candle (I used a battery-operated one) inside. 

He's absolutely adorable! 

ShellHawk appears to be posting new items each day and I just saw a spider goblet.
