...Amityville-ish...

"America's Most Haunted" Illuminated Village Collection by the Bradford Exchange was recently announced.

You hear a creak upstairs when you're home alone. The hair on the back of your neck stands on end for reasons unknown. Sometimes, the paranormal comes out to play! Now, The Bradford Exchange, Hawthorne Village Division, is thrilled to offer a special opportunity to reserve America's Most Haunted Village Collection, a collectible tribute to the macabre mysteries of some of the most haunted places in America. Pending sufficient demand, your spine-tingling village collection will begin with Issue One, Amityville House. Soon, your collection will continue with Issue Two, Franklin Castle, followed by Issue Three and additional American haunted place sculptures, each a separate issue, will follow.

You're sure to be amazed by every eerie intricacy and detail! Each issue in this haunted village collection will be individually handcrafted in artist's resin to capture every chilling feature, and hand-painted to bring the presentation to life. Plus, each sculpture illuminates and features a wealth of detailing like the ghoulish apparitions that are seen peering out from their windows. Plus, learn about the events that took place in each historic place and what is thought to haunt the space with the included printed newspaper cards.

In Ashland there is a colonial-style house that rhymes with that of the Amityville House. When I go walking, I always look at this place as a possible future house with the potential to be gothed up a bit (change the door color, etc.).

It’s located in the Randolph-Macon Circle and close to the university which means that it has a better walkability rating that our current home.

Built in the 1920s, it was last sold in 1997 which means that it could be potentially go on the market during the time when we're looking.  This time of year it's hard not to dream of a bit more space... and a little history.
