"Live each day as if it were your last,
and garden as though you will live forever"
I have always wanted my garden to look a little bit like Edward Scissorhands walked through it. I love topiaries and was thrilled when I practically stumbled upon a topiary garden in Ohio. I’ve had a fun pom-pom for several years now. I have wanted a topiary shaped like an animal for quite a while but I’ve never found one that I absolutely loved until tonight.
Sigh. Pottery Barn Halloween. I black-heart-love you.
Yesterday I read a blog post from a Halloween blogger asking who in the world ever buys the overpriced Halloween items from Pottery Barn. Um, I do. Now, in a gothy-girl’s defense, I do not *put away* Halloween décor. The Pottery Barn 2014 skeleton salt & pepper shaker is our salt & pepper shaker; the Walking Dead ice bucket which I use as a vase that currently is sitting on my coffee table. Heck, even my cheese tray is a Pottery Barn Halloween item. And, probably my oddest but most adored find was a Vampire Teeth drink dispenser stand. We don’t use it very often but while I’m sitting at my island typing, I can look over and see it sitting on our bar. It makes me smile.
This year they have these amazing living topiaries. I fell in love with the bat and the spider topiaries although they do have cats as well. Each of their topiaries include galvanized wire, tree moss, and English ivy. I put them on my wish list but then my enabling fella *made me* buy them. His words, “If they disappear, won’t your heart hurt?”
Love floral arrangements but not into taking care of living plants (or into watching cut flowers die), here is a lovely faux look called the Spooky Floral Arrangement!

GWEE! My first Pottery Barn Halloween 2016 purchase arrived: the flying bats wall art, which is also currently on sale. That’s one of the things that I love about their Halloween items. Pre-season, you can catch some pretty good sales which is beneficial because their Halloween items are not inexpensive but then the items are not cheap. They’re nice quality that lasts… just like my spooky spirit!
