...Professor Z's Nail Contest...

Blue Stones from Hollywood Cemetery

Professor Z at The CuriousProfessor Z is celebrating the halfway mark to one of our favorites times of year by hosting a fun little contest to show off the most “ creative, crazy, weird, wild, awesome, and outrageous Halloween manicure”.

Although I’m somewhat new to Jamberry nails having bought my first wraps earlier this year, I’m already hooked. So instead of posting about what I’ve done or what others have done, I’m posting about what hopefully will be. Jamberry has a Nail Art Studio which enables users to upload pictures or create custom designs. I’m waiting for approval for these! Gwee! I'm a simple girl with simple taste. I'm not sure if these are the most creative, weird, or awesome. In fact, I'm not sure if they're really for Halloween or just something that I hope to wear on an everyday basis BUT alas, I show support anyway.

I made little coffins!

I made little webs!

  1. I love the spiderwebs! But I wear Latex gloves all day, so no manicure in the world can stick to my nails longer than a day...

    1. Those are ADORABLE! Ms. Mindless, while I don't wear gloves all day every day, I do have days where I am doing needle art on people, and that involves a LOT of glove changes, handwashes, hand sanitizers, cavicide wipes and mine have not BUDGED. Unless you are working with a lot of oils, the seal on these is water tight.

    2. I hope they approve them. I mean, I'm not sure why they wouldn't but...

  2. I LOVE your designs, especially the webs! I was so happy to see that they have a Studio now. I used to have to stock up around Halloween.

Mine are always hit and miss as far as how long they stay on. I had one last two weeks, the latest one I did only lasted a couple of days before they started peeling off. As long as you apply them just right they're great. And not having to sit around waiting for nails to dry is amazing.

    1. Mine are the same way and in my case I'm sure it's operator error :p One unorthodox thing I've tried that works is if they start to peel back (or one of my hairs gets caught under one or something like that), I use clear nail polish to cover them. It really helped them last. With clear polish, you have to wait a bit but if you smudge it ya just use more.

  3. I LOVE the coffins especially! I'm so glad to know this! It couldn't come at a better time because I'm.leaving my primary job next month. As a surgical assistant I cannot wear anything at all on my nails or even wear them long. So I'm really excited to soon be able to express myself with nail treatments again. Thanks!
