...Who's That Girl-- luxury masquerade masks in Spooktacular Ashland...

Right around the corner from Jezebel’s Boutique and Shear Power is The Giving Tree Depot, a consignment shop here in Ashland that supports the mission of FACES of Virginia Families: Foster, Adoption, and Kinship Assn. Any merchandise that doesn’t sell within a certain amount of time becomes available to support families across Virginia.

This was actually the first time that I’ve been in the store partly because the store hours and my work schedule aren’t too friendly with one another and because historically in my experience with consignment shops, the clothing runs a bit small-ish (and I’m not a tiny girl). Fortunately, I didn’t find this to be the case at all. There was a ranch of sizes as well as shoe and jewelry options.

I bought a lace sheer top that I can use under some of my short sleeve dresses/shirts.
But I really had my eye on was the bat mask…correction, the Laguna from Venice filigree mask part of their "luxury masquerade masks". Of course it couldn’t be a cheap silly mask... I left the shop without it and then the entire (5 minute) drive home I rationalized to myself why I should be buying the mask. This is a consignment shop connected with a charitable organization; if I don’t support the Spooktacular events and merchandise in Ashland, this could be the one and only year for them!

As soon as I arrived home, I spoke to my fella aka enabler #1. Of course he encouraged me to buy the mask AND he even took me to lunch at the Iron Horse restaurant across the street and went in The Giving Tree Depot to look at the other masks (which I knew he would find sexy).

I may wear the new mask to next weekend’s Monster Walk and Haunted Car Show which also supports the FACES of Virginia. I might even wear it for Halloween.
