... a cemetery fence, time, and an umbrella...

“The fence around a cemetery is foolish,
for those inside can't get out
and those outside don't want to get in.”
~ Arthur Brisbane

Today was a pretty darn good day. Not only did I take some time to hang out with Connie but I also brought home an amazing 1870s cast iron cemetery fence angel from Squashapenny Junction.

We just love Suzanne’s elaborate tags!

Just a quick note to those who are concerned about theft: Squashapenny Junction is very focused on buying from reputable antique dealers and sellers of old family "junk". Many of the grave markers and cemetery paraphernalia found there are from those who have modernized their loved ones markers and/or in the case of cemetery fencing they had to have it removed based on cemetery maintenance regulations.

Also, when I arrived home, my patio umbrella had been delivered. I rarely take pictures of this side of my backyard probably because I’m usually seated in one of those chairs while snapping pictures. Note the insane pumpkin patch that is ready to eat a visitor or two!

    1. Thanks! I think these are the most comfortable patio chairs ever. Of course, I usually pull my legs up and hang about but they are comfy.

  5. That is so cool! What a lovely Angel and their business sounds intriguing, just think of all the wonders they sell! ^_^ This post makes me want to (kind of) nest. You know, to decorate my own personal space more, to get lovely things and call something "home". :D

  6. Wow very beautiful umbrella. If you thinking that umbrella can only be used for the protection from rain and suns then you are wrong, it can also be used for decoration to your garden and home also in a unique way. Design your home and garden with simply shade umbrellas.
