...haunted house pin...

“I have marked in traveling
how lonely houses change their expression
as you come near, pass, and leave them.
Some frown, others smile.”
~ Emma Frances Dawson

I have been gazing at a picture of Heidi Daus’s "Spooktacular Chateau" crystal pin for nearly a year now. The secret is not to believe that these pieces come out close to October. Last year this piece went out on HSN somewhere close to the beginning of September. They quickly sold out. I didn’t even see it until it was gone. Now I stalk well in advance of silly ol- Halloween “season.” I kept this piece in my favorites and started looking at the HSN site daily about mid-August. It appeared last week and I quickly snatched it up. It arrived Saturday morning! Stunning!

There are a few other pieces that have trickled out. The Harvest Moon pendant, which I purchased, and the “Completely Batty”, which with that tassel is just not me, have already come out. I’m looking forward to the entire collection. So far, aside from the tassel necklace, it appears that there are several repeats from last year that are returning such as her "Going Batty" Beaded Crystal and Enamel Bib Drop Necklace that I own and love. There is also a super cute "Autumn Accessories" Crystal Pin that is new-to-me and includes a “collage of witchy accessories” such as a broom, a witch’s hat, and some shoes. I like that it also includes fall flowers along with pumpkins. If I were more of a witchy girl, I would buy that one for sure. There is also a cute returned-from-last-year’s-sold-out-category called Walk Witch Way that is designed to appear as a witch-boot. Again, it isn't me but it is adorable.

Happy Heidi Dausing!

    1. Not you; it's me! I'm notorious for taking pictures under poor lighting.
