I'll admit that it's a little bittersweet. After a year of planning, I'm thrilled to have them but I'm mourning the plans that didn't come to fruition. I had my chance to actually cancel the order and change the Bride Bat to match my black dress but I really wanted the opportunity to live vicariously through these little plush friends. So here they are without further ado.
This is also a friendly reminder that today is the deadline for the GOTH GARDENING GIFT GIVING!
The contest contest boxes arrived today as well... here's a sneak peek! One of the things that I love about The Occasional Bat is how they often add a little something extra in their boxes such as this bat ornament that is now hanging on my tree! Thank you!!! ^o^
:( Man. I just don't seem to have time to enter these damned contests! sigh ... I haven't even commented on people's entries for November's homework assignment! Blah. Sorry doll, I don't want you to think that I'm neglecting your contests. I REALLY want to join the fun. Those bats look super cute ... this damned dissertation defense and my end-of-semester wrap up has got me super crazy.
ReplyDeleteNo worries! You have a lot on your plate right now and I'm sure I'll have more contests in the future :D
DeleteJust an idea... you should try a Virtual Dissertation Baby Shower. I had an actual one with old CDs with various drafts glued together and papers that formed my *baby* all placed in a bassinet. I totally dressed the part of the dorky preppy academic, have scholarly favors, registered for office supplies, etc. I highly recommend one at home with friends BUT can you imagine what you'd receive from your blogging buddies!!! Here's a link to my Dissertation Baby Shower album... it should work and oh-my-word I look like a baby myself! https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1209428241585.33801.1405081054&type=1&l=c6f3b8caa7
My tshirt reads, "I'm a Ph.D."
DeleteAw, cute! Well art least you can still dress up on the day, maybe have your own private wedding, just you two.
