... oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree...

Today my fella and I put up two Christmas trees. For years I have been obsessed with Old World Christmas ornaments and even have an ornament tree aka the wrought iron tree pictured below. This is the first year that I'm actually putting my precious ornaments on an actual artificial tree so negotiating limbs was quite new to me. My fella brought the copper tree into our lives and I had a black/silver pencil tree that I used upstairs because well, I'm obsessed with Christmas. We're packed in now with two households joining together so the wrought iron tree just can't go up this year. There isn't the space.

While some might balk at the non-traditional nature of the trees, I think they're beautiful. And now, they're a combination of the two of us.

    1. Thanks! I tend to group like ornaments together... and then I get funny by adding the tiny Bible ornament which is hard to see in the picture.

  2. The wrought iron tree is amazing, I don't think we have anything like that in Australia! It is lovely that you two can do trees together, I always enjoy Christmas tree time, although putting it together is annoying it is always nice to see it at the end!

    1. I love knickknacks so I see Christmas ornaments as an extension of that. My fella was a little fussy but it was probably more because I pick up an ornament, tell its story, and then place it on the tree strategically. It pretty much takes all day :D

  3. I love your bat instead of stars and angel

    1. He was a truly happy find from a few years ago. I found him in the clearance section after Halloween at Michael's. I hadn't seen him before that or I would have bought him anyway. He's not intended to be a tree topper but since he's made of garland and wire, it works. Plus, it looks like he floats :D
