...a batty ride...

I posted about buying a new car a few weeks ago. Now that I’ve had the car for a bit, I’m sharing some pictures showing how I’ve made the vehicle a bit more me.

As a commuter, my cars have a tendency to get a bit junky because one never knows what she’ll need. I have five umbrellas of various colors and sizes (appropriate for hard winds, compact so it can be tucked in a handbag, basic black in case one finds herself at a funeral thus the skulls or bats options are just not appropriate).

I keep a medical kit and I also keep some magazine reading for times I have some type of appointment that requires me to sit around waiting and oops, I forgot my book. And tissues! I must have tissues and hand sanitizer (and preferably wet wipes for those days you find yourself changing a dirty tire).

  1. Looks perfect! Settled in, accessorized, outfitted, and full of personality!

  2. It looks so clean inside, and what luck the upholstery is black and red! LOL

I'm quite envious of your new ride. After ten years, multiple dings and an unfortunate encounter with a deer last fall, mine is definitely looking shabby. Especially since my hood with the airbrushed dragon had to be replaced after the encounter, and now I just have the tips of his wings and some fire left on the side panels. Makes it look like my engine's on fire, but not in a cool way. :P

    1. Clean because it's new! Notice how I didn't show any pictures of my old car with its commuter dings and interior debris.

Okay, the *engine's on fire, but not in a cool way* made me snort ;P

    1. Grey bat bag was $.50 or something close to that. It was an after Halloween sale at Target. I had to rescue him ;)

  4. CUTE! Ed and I just bought a new car, too. We didn't really have a choice -- our car broke down in front of our apartment and was SERIOUSLY dead. No jump. No anything. We had it towed and when down to the KIA dealership for a new ride. We're more into bumper stickers, so this will be our next batch of car fun. I do have a little bat that needs a thread to hang from the rearview. :)

    1. I have only had one bumper sticker on a car in my life (and I even have back-up in case I want to again). It was from New Orleans and reads, "Born Again Voodooist" It evoked the best expressions from folks ;)

  6. I LOVE all the batty stuff! And the pumpkin bag! If I drove I would probably do that umbrella collection for different uses!

    1. As a commuter, I've gotten in the habit of storing a great deal inside my car. It's nice to know that when I'm looking for umbrellas I know where to find them.

  7. I love how you have personalized your car! I would love to decorate my pumpkin in black flames but I guess the kids would refused to ride with me. Instead the floor is filled with garbage, I haven't cleaned it for years, it's completely neglected. :-/

    1. I'm afraid my last car was a bit neglected as well. I cleaned it up before handing it over to my dad. While it was clean, I was thinking it wasn't such a bad car after all. I actually loved it but it simply carried too many old memories.

Yep, one thing about not having kids is have no one to embarrass. Phooey!
