My fella and I have switched our grocery shopping
day to Saturday instead of Sunday because we want our Sundays to be more
relaxed. This weekend that just couldn’t happen since yesterday was a super busy
day with the Monster Walk.
The Spooktacular events in town have me excited and
also pretty tired. I’m commuting daily this semester (as opposed to previous
semesters where I commute four days a week). It seems as though as soon as I arrive
home, it’s time for bed. In reality, I have an hour and a half to make dinner
and get myself ready for bed. Busy weekends let me let go some of the steam but since I'm an adult, there is still chores to do.
On Sundays, I pack my lunches for the week thanks
to a suggestion that Professor Z made connected to Bat Fit. This has helped me take back what little time I have to my weeknights. I’ve changed my
semester focus of losing weight to simply not gaining any. In that way, I’m
trying to be nicer to myself. ((Self coaching: Breathe Sharon... you can make it through this year))
At least if we have to go shopping on Sunday, it was
nice to have the spooky reusable bags for our groceries. I have two with Abigail Larson designs and recently I picked up a few with Halloweeny designs. These are from Target.
Because our local Target is right next to one of our grocery stores, we went
there first today. I found the best Halloween flask. My fella has his own flask
that he loves but I’ve never found the right one (size and decoration). I think
this one will do :D
My lunches are packed. Tomorrow while many Americans
will be staying home to *celebrate* *Columbus Day*, I’ll be catching the train since it's a regular school day for us.
The regular commuter trains don’t run on federal holidays so I paid a bit more
to ride Amtrak from my town straight into Washington, D.C. No driving tomorrow! Yay!
And I get to walk a mile to and from the train station which will be nice.
Hope you all had a great weekend! Let’s toast to a
great week!
The flask is perfect! I love it. Enjoy your relaxing commute day tomorrow ... and remember to breathe.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Taking the train from Ashland is always nicer. Hope you're feeling all healed up :)
DeleteI MUST GO TO TARGET IMMEDIATELY.
ReplyDeleteI know! I always find something that I don't *need* in Target. Darn wantsies!
DeleteYay for spooky lunch bags! The flask is so perfect!
ReplyDeleteThey both were great finds!
DeleteAt least it's October 12 and the semester is half over? You can do this! GO SHARON! GO!!!
ReplyDeletePraise Baby Cthulhu! I am over this semester already =-O
DeleteI have been wondering how you do it, thinking maybe you just don't need any sleep..!
ReplyDeleteOh my word! I need 8 years or I'm not human. I just haven't been human for years! Plus there are train naps and lots of caffeine.
